“I am bold, not weak.” Daily Affirmation #10.
This is what I’m reciting on today; the 9th day of my fast.
Apparently, you’re not supposed to tell people when you’re fasting. This is my first go-around, so I’ve told a lot of people; mainly because they keep offering me food. Either way, it has been an incredible time for me. I have, in fact, felt as though I’ve heard God with more clarity than ever before. I didn’t know that it was possible. 🙂
But today, I’m hungry! I’m not sure if it’s because it’s Day 9, and my body is getting restless. Either way, I am turning to prayer. As Pastor Myles Munroe preached, “Fasting without prayer is just dieting.” You’re supposed to turn to God during meal times, and any time you feel an overwhelming desire to eat.
As I did that just now, God reminded me of one of my daily affirmations. (#10 of the 15 that I created yesterday.) “I am bold, not weak.” I honor my commitments; the ones that I’ve made to God. And one of those commitments is to fast for 10 days. I can, and will, see this through.
